When I went through optometry school, it was always fun to see who could guess the correct diagnosis from just a few signs and symptoms. Now that I don’t have as many friends to quiz with, I figured what better way to bring back that joy than to build a competitive app to put our diagnostic skills to the test?
eyeStudy is a competitive quiz app where one person creates a room and others join. Rooms can be private (joined via a shared code) or public. The game slowly reveals clues while players guess and lock in their diagnoses. Feeling confident? Wager up to 3x the points. Highest score at the end gets bragging rights.
Bragging rights not enough? Create a ranked match and compete for points that actually matter. You’ll be placed in a division based on your skill. Climb the ladder and reach Diamond… if you’re good enough.

Privacy Policy (Updated 03/24/2026): eyeStudy collects only what’s needed to run the app: your chosen display name, avatar, an anonymous account ID (no email or real name), game scores, ranked rating, and local stats stored on your device. This data is used solely for gameplay, multiplayer rooms, and leaderboards. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
eyeStudy uses Firebase (by Google) for authentication and data storage. Firebase may collect device identifiers per Google’s privacy policy. Game room data is temporary. Rankings and profile persist until you request deletion; deletion can be achieved by tapping the “Delete Account” button on the profile screen within the app. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
